Looking for custom cards delivered to Germany? You can upload your designs to TCGPrintery, choose the size and finish, and check the cards online before ordering. We print and ship from Germany, and you can begin with a single card.

For a first order, the useful questions are practical: what will it cost with delivery, how should you prepare the files, and when should you order? This guide focuses on those decisions for a German delivery address, whether you are making a personal gift, a small collection or a test deck.

What does a small order cost in Germany?

Delivery within Germany costs €4.90 for fewer than five cards. From five printed cards, shipping is free. Copies count towards that threshold, so five different designs and five copies of one design both contain five cards. Five is the free-shipping threshold, not a minimum order.

Here are two examples using Standard 63 × 88 mm cards on Standard stock, checked on 3 November 2026. The printing prices include VAT. These examples use the displayed prices without a discount code.

A single card works for checking one design. Ten cards could form a small collection or give you copies to share. Choose the quantity your project needs, then check your actual total: a different format or material changes the printing price. See the current shipping conditions and the amount shown at checkout.

Choose a size before preparing your artwork

The shop offers three formats:

  • Standard: 63 × 88 mm, for familiar trading-card proportions.
  • Japanese: 59 × 86 mm, a smaller trading-card format.
  • Tarot: 70 × 120 mm, a taller format for tarot, oracle and other illustrated cards.

Measure any sleeves or storage you want to use before choosing. For a new layout, download the matching free card template. It marks the cut line and safe area. Keep the template as a guide while designing, then hide its markings before exporting.

TCGPrintery offers Standard 63 by 88 mm, Japanese 59 by 86 mm and Tarot 70 by 120 mm cards.

Pick the material for the purpose of the card

Start with Standard stock with a white core or choose Black Core. To compare their appearance, look at the real sample photographs on the quality and materials page. A photograph of a printed card is more useful for this choice than a decorative effect added to your artwork.

For reflective cards, Holo Foil covers the full card, while Partial Foil targets selected areas. Both offer Holo, Surge and Galaxy effects. A deck uses one paper choice; put cards requiring a different material in another deck before adding both to the cart.

If this is your first physical version, choose a design with the small text, dark colours or detailed illustration you need to assess. Keep a note of the selected material so you can relate the printed result to the options you ordered.

Prepare files that stay readable at card size

Use JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF. For Standard cards, the recommended artwork dimensions at 300 dpi are 744 × 1039 pixels without bleed, or 815 × 1110 pixels with 3 mm bleed. The other formats have different dimensions in the print-ready files guide.

You can upload artwork at its finished size and let the designer add bleed. Files already containing the correct bleed are recognised. Keep essential text inside the safe area, use the original exported file and inspect the imported crop. Work in RGB; if a colour warning appears, review it before ordering.

From your files to a checked order

  1. Open your format and add the artwork. Choose Add cards, then Upload files for images or PDFs.
  2. Check both sides. Use a shared back or assign individual backs where needed. Confirm every front is paired correctly.
  3. Choose the material and quantities. Check copies of individual cards as well as copies of the complete deck.
  4. Review the layout. Inspect text, edges, crop and bleed before adding the deck to your cart.
  5. Review delivery and payment. Set Germany as the delivery country, check the address and confirm the complete order total.

The step-by-step tutorials show these controls. For source-specific instructions, use the existing ChatGPT artwork guide or MPCFill XML guide.

Allow time for production and delivery

The published production window is 3–5 business days after payment is completed. Delivery within Germany is listed separately as 2–4 business days. The delivery window therefore does not describe the whole wait after ordering.

Working days exclude weekends and public holidays in Baden-Württemberg. Plan ahead for a birthday, playtest or event rather than treating these windows as a guaranteed arrival date. A dispatch email includes tracking when the chosen shipping method provides it.
