To make your own tarot deck, plan the 78 cards, 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana, design them at tarot size, 70 × 120 mm, with a shared back, then print a first deck to check colours and feel. A tarot deck has 78 cards: 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana in four suits of 14 cards. An oracle deck has no fixed structure; many have between 30 and 60 cards. Decide the theme, the style and the words on each card before you start drawing.
Design every card at 70 × 120 mm, the tarot size we print. Keep titles and numbers inside the safe area, 3 mm inside the edge, and let the background run to the edge of the file. Our tarot template shows both lines. Read about bleed and print-ready files.
