Holo Foil and Partial Foil
A holographic card has a foil layer that throws rainbow light as the card turns. TCGPrintery prints your own artwork on holographic foil, across the whole card or only on the areas you choose, in three foils: Holo, Surge and Galaxy. You can order holographic cards in Standard, Japanese and Tarot size, from a single card.
Holo Foil puts the foil under the whole print, so every part of the card catches the light. Partial Foil puts it only where you want it: a frame, a symbol, a character or a night sky, while the rest of the card stays flat and calm.
For Partial Foil you pick one of our foil patterns or draw your own foil map in the designer. White on the map is full foil, black is no foil and grey is fainter foil, so the shine can fade in and out.
Holo is a soft rainbow that drifts across the card as it moves. Surge throws bold rainbow streaks that sweep across the card, shining through dark ink while white areas stay white. Galaxy looks like glitter under the print, with fine specks and larger flakes that sparkle wherever the light falls.

Foil shines brightest through dark and saturated colours and shows less through light areas. Strong outlines, deep backgrounds and characters with clear shapes make the most of it. For Partial Foil, keep the foil to the areas you want the eye to go to first.
The designer shows each foil on your own cards, and its 3D preview turns the finished card in the light before you order.

Yes. There is no minimum order: you can print one holographic card or a whole deck.
A deck is printed on one paper. Put the cards that should shine in a deck with Holo Foil or Partial Foil and the others in a second deck, and add both to your cart.
Partial foil shines only on the areas of the card you choose, from a foil pattern or a foil map you draw yourself. The rest of the card prints without foil.
Holo Foil and Partial Foil are available in Standard (63 × 88 mm), Japanese (59 × 86 mm) and Tarot (70 × 120 mm) size.
